I feel bad clickbaiting

Hello everyone!

As I build socials for my Luence Club. It is getting extremely important to do anything to get this newsletter and socials in front of thousands of people each day. So I wanted to learn from the best, and the best people to talk about the newsletter and the social world are the ones who own businesses that we wish to have one day.

I admire the My First Million podcast by Shaan Puri and Sam Parr. In their video (link below), they talk about the importance of clickbaits.

I have always hated clickbaits- as a consumer, as a creator and as an observer. You see an image that you deeply resonate with and then what, the creator does not even talk about it.

But, clickbaits are usually an important part for a creator, it builds up the initial traction to the content and brings the consumer in. What you do with the consumer after that, its all up to you.
In the episode, Sam Parr says very clearly that it is not clickbait if you offer the consumer what you mentioned. It is only bait if you feel you cheated the customer and in this world, where attention is just so important.

I would say, put on as many clickbaits as you can, GRAB THAT ATTENTION but offer what you promised. No one likes to feel cheated. and a good heading or a ‘Clickbait’ is just good marketing.

See you next week
